Welcome!

My name is John and I’m a lover of microbrews in particular and brewpubs in general. This blog began because my very good friend suggested that I start it to capture some information about the various places I visit on my trips away from home.

I’m also a home brewer (which could be a blog of its own) so I’m particularly interested in trying lots of different varieties of beers to see what they’re like. That means I’ll generally do flights — 4- or 5-ounce sampler sizes — rather than pints in order to enjoy more options at one place.

I hope you’ll enjoy perusing the descriptions I’ve provided here, recognizing that everyone’s tastes are different so what I like may not be your cup of tea, and vice versa. There’s a lot of variety in the world of beer and pubs and (almost) always something to enjoy everywhere you go. Cheers!
