Minskys Pizza, Liberty MO
Minsky’s Pizza, Liberty MO
Summer Trip 2022, Day 19, part 2
After discovering that Big Rip Brewing didn’t have food on Sundays, I headed to Minsky’s because it was near my hotel. It was a decent choice, as it turns out!
Minsky’s slogan is, “Gourmet, and going to stay that way.” I’m not sure I’d quite agree, but the food was tasty and the beer selection (ignoring those beers-that-shall-not-be-named-that-are-not-really-beer) was not bad, if small.

They bill themselves as a cross between a pizzeria and a sports bar, but the decor strikes me as much more middle-of-the-road than either. Still, everyone was friendly, and I started off with an old favorite, the Tank 7 Saison from Boulevard Brewing (where I hope to visit in a couple of days).

I opted for their classic combo pizza, but once it arrived I realized I’d have been better off with the size below a Small, because the 10" Small was a heck of a lot of food (I took two slices with me for another day). It’s a very different style pizza than I’m accustomed to, but I enjoyed it.

My second pint was the Minsky’s Burlesque IPA that is brewed for them by Weston Brewing. It was much milder than many IPAs I’ve had, but was a perfect accompaniment to the food. If I hadn’t been full, a second pint would have been a welcome dessert.

With that, I’m at 110 unique beers for this trip so far and there are 9 days yet to go! I should blow through the 150 mark with no problem at all.
