Summer Trip 2022, Day 23
This is my fourth visit to Territorial – they’re just that good! – but my first to their and much-improved location. There’s more space (the photo doesn’t show it all) and the back windows look out onto a Disc Golf course (and I watched a deer wander across while I was eating).

There’s a decent selection of beers here, both regulars and new ones:

My four beers in a flight are described right-to-left this time:

Stage Kölsch – Wow, another really tasty Kölsch! Lucky me.
Three Nancies – This Maibock is so-named because three of the TBC brewers had mothers named Nancy. It’s a delightful Maibock, easy to drink, and I would have taken a crowler of it for later if they’d offered those.
Pheasant Dreams – Between this IPA and the next one, this was by far my favorite. It really hit the spot with its great mix of flavors.
Loser Juice – On the other hand, this IPA hit me with far too much grapefruit flavor, and sour grapefruit at that.
I’ve always opted for the Schnitzel here but went for something different today, a Döner Kebab. This is essentially a Greek Gyro and is a pretty common German street food. Everything was extremely fresh; my only complaint would be that the lamb was a bit dry, probably because not enough people order this. On the side is a half order of Loaded German Fries with cheese, onions, and bacon. The fries themselves were thin-sliced and very good; I just wasn’t able to finish that entire serving after eating the Kebab!

The flight was followed with a pint of their Unicorn Schwartz, an impressive Dunkelweizen, perfect for summer in spite of the darkness.

And as much as I would have liked to have a dessert here as I know from past experience they’re excellent, I wanted another beer even more. That honor was taken by a 13 oz. pour of Who Invited Bobby, a Double NEIPA. It’s just a massive amount of flavor in a small package, and if I hadn’t still been an hour and a half from my hotel, I’d have ordered a second for sure.

Territorial continues to be one of my favorites, but the over the next three days in Grand Rapids I’ll be visiting two more of my favorites as well as somewhere I’ve never been to yet (still tbd).
