After doing the Golden Gate and Hawk Hill, we stopped in at one of the Fieldwork Brewing locations where they pour VERY generous flights! My flight was the Staff Favorites:

Lovers & Losers (Bohemian Pilsner, 4.8%) – What a great beer for a hot day! Unfortunately, this was far from a hot day, but the beer was still great-tasting and enjoyable.
Blackberry Parfait (Fruited Sour Ale, 6.4%) – We had three sours between the three of us, and this was my favorite of the three. The blackberry taste was prominent and the sourness was just right. Unlike one of the others, this one was not syrupy sweet, though.
Destructive Devices (West Coast IPA, 6.3%) – I laughed to read their description of this beer as one of the flavors is “hotel buffet orange juice.” In spite of that, it was good and perhaps my favorite of the flight.
Space Maze (IPA, 7%) – Given all the flavors described for this one, it didn’t really stand out for me. It was good, but not great – it’s difficult to really excel in a broad category like IPA.
Eastside Motel (Double IPA, 8.3%) – It was tasty, but I thought the alcohol came through a little too strongly; the balance could have been better.
Night Maker (Double Oat Stout, 8%) – This is a big beer, very dark, very pleasant, but probably not one for drinking a full pint.
Since you’re probably intrigued by my references to described flavors, here’s the official flight list:

None of us were particularly hungry but we did crave a little something, so we ordered their Margherita Pizza and it was very enjoyable, just the right size for sharing.
