Final Tally from the Summer 2023 Trip

In the 27 days of this trip, I tasted 183 different beers from 33 different breweries. What an adventure!

Although I didn’t track this, my guess is that approximately 80% of those beers were sampler sizes in flights with the remainder being 10oz or 16oz pours. I also didn’t track repeat pours of the same beer in the cases where that happened.

The absolutely stand-out places were:

• The Grumpy Troll Brew Club, Mount Horeb WI
• Brewery Vivant, Grand Rapids MI
• Salty Pecker Brewing, Norton Shores MI
• Maumee Bay Brewing, Toledo OH
• Southern Tier Brewing Company, Lakewood NY
• Revelry Yards, Ithaca NY
• Antimony Brewing, Lenox MA

That’s a surprisingly large percentage of all the places I visited compared to other trips – it was a good time, to be sure.
