I’ve been here before and decided to come here again vs. Schmidt’s (which in many ways has better food and beer).

They had two special beers on draft so I started with a liter of the Märzen followed by a half-liter of the Hopfen Spezial, a centuries-old recipe. These were accompanied by a sampler plate of Jägerschnitzel, Bratwurst, and Bierwurst with Sauerkraut and German Potato Salad. I’ve had this before and all three are meats are good, but the Jägerschnitzel really hit the spot on this visit. I also took a crowler of their Dunkel plus a Cream Puff to go; their Cream Puffs aren’t nearly as good (or large!) as those from Schmidt’s, but it was just right for this visit).
