Wicked Warren’s, Jamestown NY

27 September 2025

This was my second visit to Wicked Warren’s, the only good reason to drive through (rather than past) Jamestown. (And before someone corrects me, Southern Tier’s brewpub, The Empty Pint, is not in Jamestown; it’s in Lakewood.) You can read about my previous visit here if you want. I like that their tap handles are made from railroad spikes, and the old keys and escutcheons in frames make interesting wall decor behind the bar.

Because I’ve been here before and tried a few of these beers, I went straight to a seasonal, Mr. Marzen, a Märzen style that was actually really, really good! I wish they’d had it in cans because I would have happily taken some home with me. It had a malt backbone without clubbing you over the head with it, and everything about it just screamed Oktoberfest.

I had been so sure that I’d had something other than a pizza the last time I was here, but when I checked my previous post just now, I saw that I’d ordered exactly the same thing, a 10″ pie with sausage, mushrooms, and spinach! How boringly consistent, but this is a really tasty meal (and I do need to remember to order the 7″ pie the next time as the 10″ is a LOT of food for me).

Once the first pint was empty, I opted for an NEIPA I hadn’t had before, the Juicy Juicy Trudy and it was fabulous! This uses Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado hops including generous double dry hopping, and it is full of flavor but without a bitter bite — it’s just very, very smooth and delicious. Again, if only they’d had it available in cans …

I’m sure this won’t be my last visit to Wicked Warren’s — it’s both convenient and good quality.
