Fall Street Brewing, Seneca Falls NY

10 October 2026

The problem with having been to Old Dog Alehouse & Brewery in Delaware OH a couple of days ago is that everything was so good there that I can’t seem to fully enjoy other places on the rest of this trip. Fall Street has a nice location and the bartenders were friendly, but there’s no info about their beers on their tap list (or on their website!) other than the names. Not even an ABV, nothing.

They’re located across the street from the It’s A Wonderful Life Museum because the town believes Frank Capra took inspiration for that movie’s fictional town of Bedford Falls from Seneca Falls. Whether true or not, they make a good argument for it so good for them and I hope it’s true.

Fall Street has a very small tap list so I just had one flight with an appetizer today. Here’s the flight:

Czech Lager – This was not what I was expecting but I really liked it! There’s a pronounced banana flavor in this crisp and enjoyable beer. It’s no wonder that another guy who arrived not long after me ordered a pint of it and then a second pint.

Mango Sour – They did one thing with this sour and did it very well — the mango comes through without overpowering, and the sour level is just right for my taste.

Declared Sentiments NEIPA – I couldn’t point to anything in particular about this beer, but it was good perhaps because it was just “normal” and would taste great anytime. Given these first three beers, I’d take either of the first two for just sipping, but the NEIPA as an accompaniment for food.

Chocolate Raspberry Imperial Stout – A few years ago, I made a Chocolate Raspberry dessert wine from a kit and this reminds me of that but in beer form. Honestly, it worked better as a wine — this is just too much packed into one glass and I could never drink a pint of it. Even just getting through this size was challenging and I was thankful for the glass of ice water.

Most of the small food menu is pizza but I saw the size of one and opted for this appetizer instead, three meatballs with “two” garlic knots. The meatballs were very good and the sauce was excellent, but the garlic knots were disappointing — there was far too little garlic and while they appeared done on the outside, there was gooey dough in the middles.

And that was that for this visit. I won’t be putting them on a list of places to return to, sadly.
