Magnuson Cafe & Brewery, Seattle WA

Magnuson is located in a large and confusing complex of old military base buildings — now mostly turned into community-use businesses — on the shore of Lake Washington. The brewery’s space is mostly outdoors and they are popular! We were lucky to get there right before the lunch rush so we didn’t have to wait more than a few minutes to order.

This is basically the view we had from our table on the deck (except this was taken from the parking lot). It was a gorgeous day!

I had one flight here along with an order of Fish and Chips (and some of the best F&C I’ve ever had!). Here’s the flight, left to right, but I have to say up front that I loved every one of these so I’ll just say what they are and leave it at that.

Sandpoint Pils – Pilsner, 4.5%

Post Coastal – West Coast IPA, 6.8%

High Dive – West Coast IPA, 7%

9lb Porter – Porter, 6.5%

What a great little spot! As long as you have a native guide to help you find it, you’re all set.
